Var Medico was founded in 1949 by the visionary Dr. NAN Var, a dedicated homeopathic physician who believed that natural medicine, practised with patience and precision, could transform lives. In the decades after Independence, when access to healthcare was limited, Dr. Var opened his doors to rich and poor alike — and word spread quickly.
Through the 1960s and 70s, the clinic grew from a modest room into a full-fledged practice, stocking the finest German remedies imported directly — a rarity in the region at the time. Generations of families from Varanasi, Mirzapur, and beyond made Var Medico their first call for everything from childhood fevers to chronic skin conditions.
Today, continuing this proud legacy, Dr. Piyush Kumar Trivedi (B.H.M.S.) carries the practice into its third generation — bringing modern homeopathic knowledge while honouring the timeless philosophy of treating the whole person.
Meet the Doctor
Dr. Piyush Kumar Trivedi completed his B.H.M.S. with distinction and has since dedicated himself to the art of classical homeopathy. Growing up in the Var Medico household, he was surrounded by the practice from childhood — giving him an intuitive understanding of patients that goes beyond textbooks.
His approach begins with a thorough case history — physical symptoms, mental state, lifestyle, and family history all inform the choice of remedy. He is known for his calm, unhurried consultations and his success with long-standing chronic cases that have not responded to conventional treatment.
